Episode Summary

Dr. Megan Ford has a Ph.D. in Financial Planning, an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy, and B.S. in Psychology. She is also an advisor for Stackin, an app that connects people to their feelings about money. A self-described "math folk," Dr. Ford's childhood challenges with mathematics in school led her to have negative thoughts about handling money. She went through years of unpacking and healing her financial trauma before helping others with their money.

In today's episode, we discuss "the last taboo," rewriting your money story, how to step out of the financial shame cycles women get stuck in, how we skirt around conversations about money and internalize feelings about it, as well as the societal and systemic forces that influence the decisions we make with our money.
